Fort Remington Wood Spoons

Welcome

Welcome to Fort Remington Wood Spoons!

I am a 5th generation wood worker but the first female in the lineage.  I handcraft all types of wood spoons and kitchen utensils that are all functional and ready for use in your kitchen.  I use beautiful southern cherry wood which is local to my central Florida home.  I hope that you will find a gadget or tool for your kitchen and tell others about my spoons.  My hope is that they will become family heirlooms for you for many generations.

AS I continue to work on my web site you may want to check out my etsy shop at www.etsy.com/shop/fortremington .  I could have different things listed there that I haven't gotten on my website yet.

We had a great time in Savannah again.  Love that city!

We had a great time in Jacksonville this weekend at the Williams Sonoma store again!  I was so happy that shoppers came out even in the cold and rain.  The employees there are super amazing to us! I hope we can make it back in May!

I want to thank Hobby Farm Home magazine for doing an amazing article on me!  Abby Trip Heverin is an amazing journalist!

Thanks also to Southern Living Weddings 2013 for featuring my spoons!

Care of Wood Spoons - I prefer hand washing for my wood spoons using a mild detergent.  If they begin to feel fuzzy, you can sand them with a brown paper bag and then apply mineral oil.  If you want to take an extra step, I really like the Howard's Butcher Block Conditioner.  It has vitamin E, Beeswax and Carnauba wax added to the mineral oil.   Just these simple steps will provide years of use with your new wooden utensil.
Any problems or questions regarding this web site please use the Contact me Form or call me at 352-461-7630  Thanks, DJ Remington
